My, My, My...

So After 4 days of being cooped up in the house due to weather and illness, the kids were very ... Umm.... Restless?! Lol

After about the 25th time of me telling them to quit horseplaying.. THAT is what happened.

Apparently while riding pillow horses, Sam decides to tease his sister and ride hers. Well, I hear KK ask him at least 4 times to stop and get off, even using her manners. Well, apparently she got tired of asking and shoved him.

He fell backwards and hit his head on a trunk.

Lots of blood and worrying later...I came to the conclusion it wasn't stitch necessary and cut the hair around it, cleaned it up, iced it, and gave him some children's tylenol. Of course after I make sure his pupils are fine and monitor him for an hour....

Sigh.

Meanwhile KK is in her room, on her bed...sobbing and screaming that "my mommas gonna hurt my butt Soooo bad...oh my mommas gonna hurt my butt so bad" over and over and over.

Double sigh.

In the end she did get a small spanking and talked to about the dangers of shoving and how she SHOULD have handled it..and Sam also got a talking to for teasing.

Triple sigh.

Surprise Date!!!

Brad came home with a dozen roses and told me he was taking me out on a date..he had even arranged a sitter and made reservations...apparently we have a famous chef that owns a restraunt in warrenton called Claires Depot...its a train depot that was turned into this beautiful restraunt..the food was out of this world!!! I didn't get pictures of the appetizers but it was a flat bread with melted mozzarella a cherry tomato, basil and a piece of Bacon. It was incredible. But the soup?! O.m.g.  lol... It was a creamy crab soup, I can't even put to justice with words...

Anyway, it was exactly what we needed and I am SO thankful for my husband.. I thank God EVERY day for him.

Ce La Vie..

Hard to believe 2012 is almost upon us. 

I have a feeling it will be a GREAT year!

This year...not so much.. can't say as I'm sorry to see it go.

We dealt with a few struggles this year.. but because our family unit is SO strong, and because we have the loving support of family.. we made it.  Not only did we make it.. but we are stronger for it.

I think that no matter WHAT 2012 has in store for us..

We are ready for it!!!!

Thank you Lord for my wonderful husband and soul mate.. for the 2 beautiful children You have blessed me with.. and for You.

2011 Christmas Tree

The kids got to pick the tree this year, and decided on this one. I have to admit they did a great job! And a HUGE thank you to Popo and Papa..for everything. It was a wonderful WAY too short visit. We love you tons.Xo
To Nana..we are hoping she can make it this year. Along with Pappy of course and Uncle Bryan. We really enjoyed spending last Christmas with them and it has been FAR too long since we have seen her. I miss her like crazy and I know the kids do too. Xo

Poor sick monkey

She got off the bus today and I was informed that she had just thrown up.. I had a feeling today that she wasn't right as she said this morning her tummy hurt..but she was ok to go to school. I asked if she was sure and she adamantly shook her head. So I sent her.

Last day of summer!!!

The kids both start school tomorrow, at a new school. Sam us starting the 4th grade, and KK is beginning kindergarten!!!! Eeeeek. Where has the time gone? For their last day of summer they have played in the yard, ridden scooters, and played nicely together. I just hope I can keep it together as I send them BOTH off tomorrow! *sigh*...

So I haven't been feeling well lately and had to go to the Dr.
They put me on a medication that I had a bad reaction to and ended up in the ER.
No worries. It was nothing they couldn't take care of quickly.
Anyway, because of what happened and how my body was I could not make it over to PA for the weekend as we had planned. We were going to see Nana and Pappy. Nana is dealing with a few things as well...not sure if I am allowed to share..but let's just say she is AwESOME!!! She really has this spirit about her that I can't explain. She has one of the biggest hearts I have ever come across...and I thank God for her everyday. After all..I only married Brad so I could be a part of his family. ;o)
Anyway...back to the picture...I didnt go ..and Brad was brave enough to take the kids. Well I just had ONE request for him......
BRING THE KIDS BACK THE WAY I AM GIVING THEM TO YOU....
WELL.....
Saturday night I get a call at 915pm that Bug was bit by the neighbors dog....
In the FACE!

Seriously folks...if there is one thing that can terrify me in .01 sec flat...its that. Josh was bit in Germany when we first moved there and it haunts me to this day!
Anyway...all I could picture was my Bug..hurt. and me not there to help. And Joshs face after his bite.
Thank God we had not 1 but 2 wonderful mommys there (Nana and Maybn)...that took over and managed.
I was a basket case from 5 hours away.
They came home Sunday and I got to see for myself he was fine.
Fat Lip...bruised...a tad traumatized..
But fine.
This picture was taken 3 days later...so it looks better . He is one lucky bug...
And so is Brad. Lol

So Josh and I snuck up there with our families (well, I was missing a HUGE part of mine as Brad had to work and could not join us)..but off we went.

First trip to KD 2011..

Well we took our first trip this summer...and had a lot of fun.

It was very crowded as it seemed all the schools in the area decided on today as well...

All in all we got about 10 rides in before the heat and lines took their toll...

No worries...thats why season passes rock...

Oh the FUN times...

We got here to RICHMOND about 1 yesterday and set up camp.
Made some hot dogs...and played some console.

The 4 guys in the camper next to us have joined us a few times and even made my experience better by setting me up in a lawn chair right next to their firepit...and when I commented "now THIS is camping" (since I was toasty warm)...they walked over and said "nope...here...(he holds out a thing of chocolate Oreos).....THIS is camping"
I have to admit. He was right. Lol.

We slept good last night and are on day #2 now....
Boys are still sleeping...
And I am super excited to see what the day brings..

We had a quiet Easter this year since Brad was out of town for work and it was just the kids and I. But we had fun and made the most of it with an Easter egg hunt and a fun day outside!

Surprise!!

We had been trying for a month now (we being Cody and I)..to plan a trip down to NC to surprise Mom. Originally we had planned for the weekend of her birthday..but if you know ANYTHING about my mom, it's that you literally have to call and SCHEDULE with her because she is ALWAYS off doing something. Lol. She says shes retired and thats what your supposed to do. But as busy as she stays...remind me NEVER to retire! Lol. Just kidding...she is awesome..even though i need to be penciled in at least 3 weeks beforehand.. :o)
Anyway, to make a ling story short..Cody finally had to pencil himself in (not kidding)..and clear the first weekend she had free...it was a month later. But i got it!! She was ours to surprise!! And surprise her we did!!
Well she did try to throw us for a loop though, by not even being home when we got here! Lol (in all fairness we had left 4 hours earlier than we planned..and i couldnt call cody to let him know, as not to be obvious). Anyway the kids and i headed to the playground and 30 min later we got the call.
We walk right in her back door. Yelling 'SURPRISE' of course.
She screamed! Lol
It was awesome!!!
We had managed to pull it off.
It was a great weekend. Spending time with them...going to pik n pig...hearing KK argue with Grandma about marrying Grandpa.
Thank you God. For all my wonderful blessings....
