2009 WILL be divine~

Want to know how I know?

Because I was blessed enough to spend the 1st day of the new year with my family and even an old friend!!!

We went to Josh's house for a Taco dinner last night, and had Tom and his sweet (although VERY competitive *wink wink*) wife join us. What a blast!

It was SO much fun talking about the old days, and catching up on the new.

It really is a cool experience when you get to spend time with someone that you knew as a kid....and still have the same connection that you had 15 years ago!

Of course, now it's even better because you have your own family to share with them, and you get to see where their life has taken them, and meet their signifigant others!

So far I have been fortunate enough to see Nancy, Autumn, and Tom!

A reunion is in the works for sure! :)

I will have pictures to post on Sun....when I get back to N.C.....

the good news: Brad may have a job (it's about 99%)...starting this week....and although it means being seperate for a while...we are SOOO grateful.

the better news: It means we can make our LONG OVERDUE trip to PA to see Nana,(yay!!!) and celebrate a belated birthday and christmas with her.

Please continue to lift us up in your prayers and thoughts though....and God bless ya'all............ give your families my love!~

Happy New Year!!

I hope this year brings many blessings to you and your families.

I hope you love more this year,

and

take the time to give back what you are so blessed to recieve.

See family you haven't seen,

or have been putting off seeing.

Live each day to it's fullest,

and go to bed with a smile on your face.

I know you can think of at least 3 things in your life to grin about.

I hope you find good health,

good fortune,

and lots of peace...

in 2008.

xoxoxo

Here's your first little smile......(got it in an email)

Dads
I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes.
We decided to grab a bite at the food court.
I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him.
The teenager had spiked hair in all different colors: green, red, orange, and blue.
My dad kept staring at him.
The teenager would look and find him staring every time.
When the teenager had enough, he sarcastically asked, 'What's the matter old man, never done anything wild n your life?
Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke on his response; knowing he would have a good one.
And in classic style he did not bat an eye in his response, "Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my son."
