Happy 5th Birthday and Happy Veterans Day!


First off a HUGE thank you to our veterans, past, present, and future....words do not express the gratitude I feel for the HUGE sacrifices you and your families make. From the tip of my toes to the top of my head....

KK had a great day. We didn't do much and kept it low key this year since we were getting a little out of hand with them. (I mean a bouncer and cotton candy machine? chuck e cheeses?)... spending $300 on a party (x 2) each year is a tad excessive. Dontcha think?

She didnt even notice that there wasn't all the hoopla and had a blast anyway...

We were really hoping to do dinner with my brother Josh and his family, but they were busy. Maybe another time...

KK chose to go to IHOP for her birthday dinner...and since that experience went so poorly we decided to head straight home and stop at McD's to get a sundae...she wanted us to sing to her again! :)

Daddy took Sam to the store and gave him $15 (that he earned) and let HIM pick out what he bought his sister...after MUCH looking around, he decided THIS was it....and BOY DID SHE LOVE IT!!!!! :) Great job Bug~

Where are the years going?? I just LOVE this age with her....

Seriously...I feel like I have been the LUCKIEST mom around...to have the kids that God gave me.

I must have done SOMETHING right! :)

Anyway...for her birthday we headed to Chuck E. Cheese.....again.

She LOVES this place. It was a small affair with only one of her friends this year.

Nana and Pappy came down and joined us as well. So it was them, us and the Jacksons.

Here she is....where it all started...

Hard to believe I was here at Kaiser...in Hawaii.. just 2 years ago....

And she arrives after 5 hours of labor and a few pushes...

All in all it was a FABULOUS day. I really miss her baby side...but seeing this new person learn things about herself and the world around her....

On your birthday we decided to take you and your brother to a waterpark called "Hawaiian Water Adventures"

Again....again....if you notice, Sammy is wearing a braclet on his wrist. He had to pass a swim test in order to go on the big slides. The lifegaurds were so surprised he did it, and people were so shocked to see him go on them, we must have heard 1000 times..."look at that little boy mom..."

One of the funnest rides there....we must have went on this about 100 times.
