Happy Thanksgiving~

Where did this year go?

How can it be almost over already???

What a roller coaster it has been....

between school, disney, brads job, and cancer.....whew!

But we have had SO many tribulations as well. MORE than the trials. So much more.

And I thank God for every single one!~

We are headed to josh's this year. We were supposed to go down to NC but with Brad's job cutting his hours and the uncertainty of each day we thought it best to postpone the trip. :( MUCH to my dismay. I was really looking forward to seeing my mom since the surgery. We are both bummed but know its for the best.

So I am bringing Green bean casserole and Sweet potato casserole to Josh's. My 1st attempt at the sweet potato...(we will see how it turns out) OH and deviled eggs! YUM! :)

Wow, we have a lot to be thankful for this year. And every year frankly.

I just think it's so easy to lose sight of all the blessings we have and tend to focus on our "wants" and not "needs".

After all...is there REALLY something out there you NEED at this moment that is imperitive to your survival (that you don't already posess?)

I didn't think so.

Anyway...this year we went to Mom's house in Woodbridge, VA to celebrate and give thanks. She was so awesome as she asked ALL the kids this year what their favorite food was and then in ADDITION to your traditional thanksgiving feast, we had...umm..SUSHI from Lex...STEAK from Matthew....MACARONI AND CHEESE..courtesy of Bug... and 2 other "oddball" things that Mason and KK chose. The kids LOVED it and it really made them feel special!

In addition to the dinner I was in charge of coming up with a few games to play after the meal.

So, I chose a game where you wrapped something that was small and enough for everyone to have...and you wrapped it and wrapped it and wrapped it..in paperbags....

Then someone (me) sat there and played music as the package was passed around. If the music stopped while you had the package you had to tear off the 1st layer. And then Do what was written on there.

It was a BLAST....as we had people howling at the moon, singing songs and more! :)


I also had another game we played. But I cant think of the name.

Happy Thanksgiving 2008

We have SO many things to be thankful for....

simple things.

Things we often take for granted.

Seeing your family every day is one of them. You take for granted that at the end of the day they will be there. And it isnt until you have to go weeks (maybe months, years or the rest of your lifetime)...that you realize the importance of that individual.

I am SOOOo thankful to those serving in our military that are away from their families this holiday to fight for US! The daily sacrifice they make. And me not seeing my husband does Suck. But I can drive 5 hours to see him if I needed to.

I hope that if you are fortunate enough to be spending your thanksgiving with YOUR family...please take a moment and lift up those who can't.

Before we begin....

I want to give thanks for all the blessings we have recieved. We are so very lucky to have such great family and friends.

It has been a rough couple of months with the move, Brad's new job, getting settled, a few personal issues and just adjusting in general (especially to the weather).

But because of our family and friends they have made this time a little easier for us. So I am VERY THANKFUL for you.

Please take the time today to tell someone you love how much you appreciate them.....you can NEVER say it enough.

All in all it was a lovely thanksgiving!! We did miss our family back in Hawaii, and hopefully next year they can plan on joining us!!!!

Look at our new walkway!! They did this last week, and it looks SOOO nice. We actually have a driveway and walk now! YAY!!!!

We also have put up a new fence int he backyard, so the kids have a place to play. I'll most some pic's of that soon!

THIS is what my daughters bed looks like in the morning. She collects her stuff after I leave and has to sleep with it. So I leave her with just a pillow, blanket, and her minnie mouse...and it never fails that 15 others items have found their way to the bed. How does this child sleep??

Well, our thanksgiving was a busy one! We decided to head over to Magic Island to let bug bike around and just enjoy the beautiful weather! It was around 81'.
