3 reasons why I love this child SOOOOOO much!

Reason #1: The 1st video is my FAVORITE!! Don't ask me where she picked this up...but she had me in tears I was laughing so hard!...We were at an award ceremony today at Sam's school...(more on that tomorrow)..when she did this she had the entire table paying more attention to her than the award ceremony :)

Reason #2: Same day (today), and she was singing a song as we headed into the ceremony...do you recognize the tune and her own made up words! LOL :)

Reason #3....We had a church picnic this past Sunday and McKayla ASKED me to "videocord" her singing this song...it happens to be one of her favorites... :) The good part is toward the end though...what a HAM!

She is truly a BLESSING and makes each day such a joy. I can not express how much I love this child and what an amazing little girl she is! (though I am a tad bias! lol)

THANK YOU LORD!

P.S Note that she has taken to carrying a "purse" around...today she had a teapot and a poodle in it! :)

*I will post about Sam's awards soon...he did AWESOME! AND get this! My 6 year old child ate 11 chicken nuggets, a small fry, AND a hot fudge sundae...

can we say growing? the pig.

Whew' and a few Ar' Ar's

What a weekend!

We made it to VA and are now back home again....after a busy, busy weekend.

Brad's company picninc was great. It was nice to meet his co-workers, and have a family day at the same time. The kids had a blast as they had rented the biggest bounce I think I have ever seen. I mean adults could have used the thing!

I was disappointed since we were supposed to get together with Tom and Amy, but crossed path's, and our timing was off. pooh! Ah well....hopefully soon.

Anyway....I have some pictures and some VERY FUNNY/CUTE video to share.

Hope this gives you the chuckle I got! (Popo...I KNOW you will adore it as much as I do!)

Love to all!~ enjoy.

My cowgirl....

My photographer (he took this pic himself)...

This child in such a treat. I really do thank God for her (and Bug) everyday!

My son also cracks me up....if you turn up the volume and watch at about ...oh..the 1:39 mark...listen to what happens and he says....he is a treat as well! :)

Th-th-th-th-th-that's all folks! :)

****edited to add....if you still can't understand what Bug says...he says "I shoulda wore a helmet"....even though it was his knee that was scraped.**** :)

Overheard

After church this morning, Drama Mama approached me as I was preparing a "brunch" (really breakfast for Sam and lunch for Kayla as requested...Sundays we are pretty lenient)...

"mommy, bunny is hungry, wants a horn dog"

mommy: "so Bunny wants to eat now?...a corn dog?"

"yes a horn dog mommy pease...."

I cut up and apple, prepare a corn dog and set it at the table...

"hum on bunny...time to eat"

plops herself down with her 2 bunnies with her (from a story she got from her Nana)

after a few minutes I notice she is more or less "feeding the bunnies" her corn dog rather than eating it herself so I say:

"Kayla, you need to eat your corn dog NOT your bunnies please"

"kayyyyy" she says

next I hear...

"no no bunnies... no horn dog for you...that kaykay's horn dog...no no no"

10 seconds later I get....(please ignore the fact that she is in her birthday suit....she still prefers to be naked than have any clothes on...unless of course it is a princess dress") Is she my child or what? LOL

She is really into playing with her stuffed animals, and baby dolls... and it is such a treat to sit back and watch her interact and come up with scenerios on her own. Her favorite thing to do at this point is put them down for "nite-nite". ..with a story, kiss and a "snuggle bug". It is precious!

Here are a few bonus video's for Popo and Nana...enjoy!

Bugga bugga?.....

SPIN drama mama...

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BRAD!!

P.P.S.: Bug is doing great in school and has actually ASKED to join the cub scouts.....hard to know if I should put him in or not since we have no idea how long we will be here. decisions...decisions.

Hangin' in there...

As best as we can. We have some big decisions to make....

Brad was offered the job in VA.

YAY!!!!!! It was an answer to our prayers.

However he has to go through Top Sec*ret Sec*urity Clea*rance (TSSC)....and have his physical AND a Poly*graph test!!!! Which could take anywhere from a month to a year.

BUT they have asked him to start on the 4th of Aug (which also happens to be Popo's Bday!!!)....so he is STILL down there, (in VA) but now has to come back (to NC) to get a bunch of things....including his truck.

The decision we need to make is that Bug's 1st grade starts in late Aug (coming up people HELLO!!) and I need to decide if he will go here or there....thing is I am SOOOOO not keen on moving back to the NoVa area (having been there...done that)....PLUS the kids are very happy and settled here.

TRUST me I have prayed and prayed and prayed and I STILL don't have a clue what to do.

I can't decide if staying here in NC, where we are established and have settled, and sacrificing seeing Brad every 2 weeks (which will be tough on me and the kids!!!) OR

MOVING to VA, and re-establishing EVERYTHING since that is where Brad's job is now.

Here is my thought.

I think the kids and I should stay here for at least 2-3 months.....allowing Bug to start school, and SEE how Brad likes this job....

that being said....if he passes his TSSC...then that makes his odds of getting a job on For*t Br*agg SOOOO much better.

OK.

So if we Do decide to do that....

Question of the day.
What does Brad do?

Rent a place (spending the money that we are TRYING to save?)....he isnt comfortable staying with my parents, and I can't blame him since he is 35 and isn't used to being the one "parented".

Rent a room?

Bite the bullet and stay with the 'rents.....

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

O.k enough of that.

It's in the Lord's hands and I have to remember that. We will survive no matter WHAT choice we make.

O.K

On to some FUN!!!!!

We went to the imaginiation station a few days ago...

Here are the pics and video....

All Aboard!!!!!!!!!...

Emergency people...out of the way...

Did anyone call for help?

1 little..2 little...3 little indians....

Did someone call for a Dr.???

A Vet perhaps?...

THIS had to be Bug's favorite thing...even though it was stationary...LOL..

Fire Bell....

Hehehehe....he got a kick out of checking me out...

Giddy-Up....

He loves helping at home...so he played with this for a while! LOL....Just gettin' him ready for his future wife! :P

What does:

(1) garden full of weeds

=

ME... getting frustrated! LOL...nahhhhh I love it! :)

Garden Update

Yes, my garden is currently full of weeds due to the abundance of rainfall we have had here...(hey, you won't hear me complaining) but the garden itself is flourishing....

Here are my lovely tomato plants

and they have flowered.....tomato's here I come!

My green peppers....see if you can pick them out among the weeds! LOL...

My beans!!!!! Yummy! I have already snagged a few! :D

The only thing that didn't take was the swiss chard ( I think I did it wrong and didn't start it in planters first) and my cantalope (pooh!) ...I was so looking forward to THAT! :( Ah well...I'm going to try again....it's still early.

P.S My mom taught me a neat trick I am going to try in my garden...she said...if you get weeds like I have (a lot of them, and the small ones) the trick is to weed it good once, and then lay newspaper down in between the rows (anchored by rocks or whatever you choose)....the newpaper is biodegradable, and it prevents the weeds from growing!!! :) :P :)
Pretty cool eh? I am going to try it today if I can manage to get a few hours in. I'll try anything at this point since it is my THIRD time weeding it. I'll let you know how it goes!

Fun..Fun...Fun

Oh my....where to begin.

First off....let me take a moment to REMIND myself.... that I am older (and thought I was wiser) than I guess I tend to think of myself.

ANYWHO.....

here are a few pictures of the kids and my wonderful (mostly) growing garden!!!!

Kayla...trying to play the wii...

and a video...at about 40 sec she says the funniest thing...see if you can catch it..

Then we have her cheeseballin' it...

playing with her beans (thanks Jess!)

GARDEN AND YARD SHOTS!!!!

Garden BW (before weeding)

2 hours later...

While mommy was shopping...daddy, bug, and drama mama did some planting... (he got these seeds from his school field trip to the Alpaca farm) He has been dying to plant them...

watering the plants...

Our (as in Grandpa's and mine) 4 tomoto plants in a pot on the deck....

We have been doing A LOT of work on our backyard....trying to rlocate a lot of plants and then rototill (sp?) it all so we can plant/lay just grass....
Here is where the mint, and more lilies were...(grandma and grandpa are the ones that can truly appreciate this picture, as they know how it looked before!)

Just a random shot of one side of the yard..

Kayla's First Fishing experience...

runnin' to the dock (she is SOOO excited)..

Is this what I do dad?

I think I got it...
