3 reasons why I love this child SOOOOOO much!

Reason #1: The 1st video is my FAVORITE!! Don't ask me where she picked this up...but she had me in tears I was laughing so hard!...We were at an award ceremony today at Sam's school...(more on that tomorrow)..when she did this she had the entire table paying more attention to her than the award ceremony :)

Reason #2: Same day (today), and she was singing a song as we headed into the ceremony...do you recognize the tune and her own made up words! LOL :)

Reason #3....We had a church picnic this past Sunday and McKayla ASKED me to "videocord" her singing this song...it happens to be one of her favorites... :) The good part is toward the end though...what a HAM!

She is truly a BLESSING and makes each day such a joy. I can not express how much I love this child and what an amazing little girl she is! (though I am a tad bias! lol)

THANK YOU LORD!

P.S Note that she has taken to carrying a "purse" around...today she had a teapot and a poodle in it! :)

*I will post about Sam's awards soon...he did AWESOME! AND get this! My 6 year old child ate 11 chicken nuggets, a small fry, AND a hot fudge sundae...

can we say growing? the pig.

I am SOOOOO blessed...

Can't you tell?

THIS is what my son was SOOOO excited to show me that he put together HIMSELF!!!

I went shopping and left the kids home with a friend, and as I pulled into the driveway he was standing there waiting...before I could even get the groceries out....he dragged me downstairs and TA-DA!

He had spelled "love" out of pinto beans! :) He told me there had to be at least a million. and it took him FOREVER!!

THIS was taken yesterday (Sun) right before church!

God, THANK YOU for these kids!!!!!!!!!!!

BLESSED=ME!!!!

A friend of mine (the one Bug has a crush on) came over last night to let the kids play with the newest addition to her family....HANK the TANK.

And Kayla's turn...

Then it was time for bed, and I had to get this on video...it normally lasts about 2 minutes longer with the Sam naming everyone in the world he can think of, and Kayla giggling. Here is the "short" version. Nana and Tony and Katie and Alek weren't mentioned this time (since I cut it short), but are included EVERY night as well.

LOVE to all!

Oh, the memories we make.....

The first video is of Brad hiding under the covers to surprise the kids...he drove all the way down to see Sam's first soccer game (which was cancelled due to RAIN!)....But their reaction is priceless!....

Kayla, of course, was attached to him like GLUE!

And then last night, I wasn't feeling to swell, so Grandma and Grandpa offered to read the kids their bedtime story.... *sigh*
I just LOVE these video's and pictures! They truly ARE priceless!!!

It started off with Kayla "reading" to Grandma, and then Grandma to her...

Awwww.....

And then of course Sam wanted to be involved, but instead chose to READ it TO Grandma...I truly lOVE this video on so many levels! :)

Not to be left out.....McKayla insisted on getting Grandpa involved...

She LOVES her grandpa!....

THANKS for the memories!

PRICELESS I tell ya....just priceless! :)

2nd reason:

This is a random conversation between my son and I....and yes, the words are just about as exact as you can get......

Bug came up to me yesterday as I was making taco's and out of the blue says:

"Mom, .....what would happen if I married Kaykay?"

Kind of caught off guard I say "Pardon Me?"

So he repeats his question "What would happen if I married Mckayla?"

I am GRINNING at this point....

"Honey, you cant marry McKayla...she is your sister, and you can't marry your sister"..

he walks away.

About an hour later he walks up to me again....

"mom....what would happen if I married Auntie Mimi?"

I look at him confused.

"Why are you asking me that Sam?"

"what would happen? what is her last name?"

"First off, auntie Mimi is already married honey, and second her last name is "smith"
*name has been changed to protect the identity of his love interest! LOL)*

"So I would be Samuel Cody "Smith"???....hahahaha thats so funny mom...it sounds craaaaazy... *insert frown*....WHO is she married to....why is she already married?"
(note that her last name IS something pretty...ummm...diffferent"

"No, IF you did, and remember that she is ALREADY married, but if you DID marry her, then she would be Mimi Brenneman...but she married Uncle Kim...you remember him right?"

"What about Kayla?"

"What about her?"

"What will she be?"

"Well, she will be McKayla Brenneman until she gets married and then her last name will change to whatever her husbands is"..

"Ohhhhhhhhhhh..... *frowns* .....so I cant marry auntie Mimi...so who am I going to marry mom? Who are we going to get Kayla to marry"

He sits there and seriously ponders this for at least 2 full minutes...naming off everyone in his class.......

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sweetie...YOU'RE ONLY 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a few added bonus smiles! (thanks Amber! lol)....

7 Reasons Not To Mess With Children

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'.
The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?'
The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him'.
......................................................................

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.
As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, 'I'm drawing God.'
The teacher paused and said, 'But no one knows what God looks like.'
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, 'They will in a minute.'
..................................................................

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to 'honour' thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, 'Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?'
Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, 'Thou shall not kill.'
..............................................................

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.
She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, 'Why are some of your hairs white, Mum?'
Her mother replied, 'Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.'
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, 'Mummy, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?'
.........................................................

The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.
'Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor.'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out, 'And there's the teacher, she's dead.'
.....................................................

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, 'Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face.'
'Yes,' the class said.
'Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?'
A little fellow shouted,
'Cause your feet ain't empty.'
..................................................

I LIKE THE NEXT ONE IN PARTICULAR

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
'Take only ONE . God is watching.'
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, 'Take all you want. God is watching the apples.'

Welcome to the Jungle...

Bug had his FIRST school play last night!! *sniffle sniffle*

It was ADORABLE!! All the kids did a FANTASTIC job!!

He was a monkey and actually had a line to speak! :)

Here are the video' and pictures I managed to snap!! (can we say PROUD mom?)

Here he is as we are walking in:

and a video...

cheese ballin' it.....

Here he is waiting for the teachers to arrive to get them ready...

and he's ready......

being silly....as usual!.....

This is what Drama Mama did while we waited...I came prepared...

and we're ready:

Here are the cute video's of the play....(Popo and Papa..I KNOW you will appreciate these!!)

Here he is doing his line.....he was sooo tickled he got the response he did! :)

Here he is singing and doing his motions....:) *I'm sooo proud*

and another one...

Here he is giving his teacher flowers after the play..

And after.....at the school playground..letting the ruggies play!..

It was a great day aside from the fact that Bug brought a "Kindergarten Behavior Report" home saying he had a difficult time focusing in class today... he ended the day on a yellow. (which means he had 1 warning...orange is 2...red is 3..and then he loses his colors if it continues and severe consequences are in order....of course he has only had his yellow color card pulled twice...this time and a while back...he has never gone beyond his yellow) :)

When asked why he has such a bad day...he said (and I quote)

" It was just too exciting today mom.....can I get ready for my play now?" :P

Gotta love him!~

GREAT JOB BUG!!! You made me the PROUDEST mommy there!!!!!!!
