Dear Santa..Oh, Christmas Tree..and GREAT NEWS TOO!

We did a bit of decorating, and finally got our tree up.

This year it is a real tree (yay!)

Since a family of little baby mice surprised us in our fake one. (no more storing stuff in the garage in cardboard!) LESSON LEARNED...(and let me save how THRILLED I was, when my DEAR husband decided to suck up, yes SUCK UP...the baby mice in my VACUUM..for another post. Yes, yes I'll do that :)...

Moving on shall we? :P

I have to say how PROUD I am of Samuel! He made the A/B honor roll in his third grade class! Even with all the "issues" with focus he has been having.

Calling his name to recieve his certificate and free happy meal ticket...

And on TOP of that...to make the news even SWEETER (careful you'll get a toothache)..

I get these home from his teacher!~(all within a 2 week period!)

THIS ONE MAKES ME SOOOOOOO PROUD I CAN'T STAND IT!!!

He is such a great child. Sometimes I think I musta done SOMETHING right! :)

CUB SCOUT PARADE

Bug had his FIRST EVER cub scout parade! And we were IN it! :P

Where did this year go?

How can it be almost over already???

What a roller coaster it has been....

between school, disney, brads job, and cancer.....whew!

But we have had SO many tribulations as well. MORE than the trials. So much more.

And I thank God for every single one!~

We are headed to josh's this year. We were supposed to go down to NC but with Brad's job cutting his hours and the uncertainty of each day we thought it best to postpone the trip. :( MUCH to my dismay. I was really looking forward to seeing my mom since the surgery. We are both bummed but know its for the best.

So I am bringing Green bean casserole and Sweet potato casserole to Josh's. My 1st attempt at the sweet potato...(we will see how it turns out) OH and deviled eggs! YUM! :)

Fall Fun 2010 + A Surprise

We have a huge yard surrounded by forest so we get about 3 ft of leaves each year.

Cleaning them up is half the fun! :)

I can't get over how fast 2010 has gone. What a year it has been. So much stuff has happened...and yet here we are....

My goobers. I love them So...

ARE YOU READY FOR THE NEW SURPRISE?

I am STILL in disbelief....

but..............

we got a puppy!~ from the SPCA.....

Meet Biscuit.....(once Midget)...

Brad is happy as pig in poop...he has worked on me for a LONG time for this!...

So is Bug... :)

He is a 5 month old hound mix....and is SUCH a good boy!!!!!

We REALLY got lucky with him. He is so calm and loving and a great listener. He isnt potty trained but so far has been awesome at learning. We are currently crate training him...and so far....so AWESOME! :)

Here he is on the first day we brought him home....he is SUCH A CUTIE!

You must be wondering how this all came about. As I was ADAMANT about not having another animal.

After all...who normally gets stuck with everything at the end of the day?? ME.

Well...that being said...

Bug takes SUCH good care of Missy(the kitty) and his responsibilty of her litter and food....PLUS he got on the A/B HONOR ROLL!!!!!! So I compromised....

we could get a puppy as long as I wasnt picking up ANY of the poop.....

Brad WHOLE heartedly agreed, and Sam and him made a pact to teamwork it.

So we went to the pound on Sat...JUST to look.

We saw Biscuit (formely Midget)...

and Brad FELL IN LOVE.

We took him into a room to check his temprement and how he behaved around cats, and he did great.

I STILL wasnt sold though.

After all a dog is a HUGE undertaking.

We slept on it.

Went back Sunday around 2 to take him outside to see his mannerism...

He sold us. :)

He was such a great dog it was like he was meant to be part of the "pack" (THANKS CEASER).

So now we have 6 members of the family. :)

I think we are finally complete!! scratch that...

I KNOW we are! :)

KK had a great day. We didn't do much and kept it low key this year since we were getting a little out of hand with them. (I mean a bouncer and cotton candy machine? chuck e cheeses?)... spending $300 on a party (x 2) each year is a tad excessive. Dontcha think?

She didnt even notice that there wasn't all the hoopla and had a blast anyway...

We were really hoping to do dinner with my brother Josh and his family, but they were busy. Maybe another time...

KK chose to go to IHOP for her birthday dinner...and since that experience went so poorly we decided to head straight home and stop at McD's to get a sundae...she wanted us to sing to her again! :)

Daddy took Sam to the store and gave him $15 (that he earned) and let HIM pick out what he bought his sister...after MUCH looking around, he decided THIS was it....and BOY DID SHE LOVE IT!!!!! :) Great job Bug~

Mom is headed home from Duke today! :P

After the setback/scare yesterday with the clots we were a tad concerned.

I don't know WHY!!!!

My mom is a trooper. The doctors at Duke ROCK, And God is AWESOME....

with those 3 strikes against it...BREAST CANCER DOESN'T STAND A CHANCE!!! :)

Anyway...the doctors said it was a 4 month recovery...however...I don't think the doctors are aware of the strength that my mom possesses. No matter HOW long it takes....we will ALL be there to do what we can. :P

After all.....she is the BEST mom in the world.... and I still have a few things to learn....

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS!! The power behind these prayers in beyond comprehension. And you have ALL played a part...taken time out of your life..and I APPRECIATE IT...from the bottom of my heart....

Tough Cookie

Thats my mother!!

She kicks butt....cancer butt~!

She is over at Duke as I am typing this and has been in surgery for 4 hrs now. So far so good.

My father (Cody) keeps me updated..(i'm cool like that...I have 2 dads! :P..lol)

Anyway...I remember like it was yesterday her going through all this the first time.

I was pregnant with Sam...and she actually had that surgery about 2 weeks before I had him..... She was such a trooper though.
I just LOVE her faith. Her outlook. Her positivity. :)

Anyway..please keep her in your prayers and the doctors as well. Oh, and don't forget the nurses that have to wait on her when it is all said and done.. :) lol.... we all know how THAT can be! :)

UPDATE: 11-6-10- Surgery is over and Dr's are VERY pleased with the results..she is out of recovery and in her own room resting. Thank GOD! :) :) :)
