Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Look at what we (in N.C) woke up to this morning!!!

The kids were geared and ready to go at 7:30 A.M.(push play for the video)..

Ready to go?....

almost!.....sure wish we had some snowboots! LOL.....

Daddy was a great sport and took them out back for a quick romp...

Sam's favorite part was trying to belt me with snowballs through the glass door! LOL the turkey! (I like how this one came out)

This was the can see how much we got.. settled on the bird feeder...

Apparently the backyard wasn't off to the hills we went to 9:00 in the morning!

Wheeee.......look at ME!......

I don't have a clue how he saw where he was going....LOL :)

He was like that the whole time! hehehe...

Making the walk BACK up the hill.....

THIS is how Kayla got up the hill after about 20 minutes....ohhhh daddddyyyy!!!

A video of the fun sledding ! :)

When we got back Kayla's feet were cold....myyyyy daughter! lol....

My oh so wonderful hubby lit me a fire when we got back!! THANK YOU dear!

After we ate "brunch"...we rested..and then headed back out for ANOTHER 2 hour jaunt....

Daddy even got into the sledding this time....

After about and hour and a half...kayla was looking more like a frozen Kayla Pop. we waited in the van for a little while, since Daddy and Bug werent done yet....she truly cracks me up!

O.K Blogger is NOT cooperating with me on a few of the video' I guess I'll try them again later.

This took me 2 days to post..grrrr...but guess who is out of school AGAIN today due to the snow? Bug! he has had a 5 day weekend! LOL

We are SOOOOO glad Brad hitched a ride down with my parents when they came to we could see him and get a daddy fix in. And the best part?? He didnt have to drive and it didnt cost us a cent! :) LOL Gotta love those trips! :) PLUS the fact that he was here when we had all this snow was so great for the kids! I mean they really love and miss him Especially Kayla who is turning out to be SUCH a Daddy's girl. As a matter of fact.. Brad got in LATE Sat night and I did NOT tell the kids he was coming just in case a job popped up (I didnt want to disappoint them) on Sun morn..I let him sleep in a bit..then I told Kayla to come into my room, and I lifted her up on the bed. She went to snuggle in my covers, when Brad popped out. She got the happiest smile on her face and lunged at him...gripping his face with all her might...and then she looks right at me and says (I kid you not!) "Thank you mommy..thank you for kaylas surprise present!" And of course she was stuck like glue to Brad the ENTIRE weekend, not even allowing me to help her go potty. LOL But we are so thankful and blessed! :)

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my family???? 'cause I do! :)

Devestating News:

It breaks my heart to tell you that my cousin's husband Randy passed away today.

(this was taken when they came to visit during his stem cell treatment at Duke...back in March of 08)

He left behind a WONDERFUL loving wife and an 18 month old little boy.

His family is, as you can imagine, is struggling with everything.

This was posted on their blog:
On behalf of Kate, I am very sadly writing to say that Randy passed away peacefully at 1:07pm today. He was surrounded by his loving family holding a picture of his beautiful wife & son. Arrangements are with the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh but are incomplete at this time. I will post the details when they are available.

I beg you to PLEASE keep his entire family in your prayers, as they are dealing with an unimaginable amount of grief.

Even though we know he is pain free and riding with the angels......we will still miss him.

Ride on Randy....Ride on.

REST IN PEACE Buddy!! We love you!

Christmas Eve 2008

Because I have SO much to share....I decided to break them up into 2 seperate posts! THIS one is of us on Christmas Eve....
We started off with a WONDERFUL dinner prepared by ALL....

The drama mama even enjoyed it!...

After dinner we relaxed for a bit....aren't Josh and Tee cute? LOL

Grandma, Grandpa, Bug, Drama Mama, Josh (being josh), Tee, and Mason's arm...I am the only one not in the pic cause I'm taking it! :)

Josh's rugrats...Lexi-poo, Mase, and bugbug...

Lexi-poo and Drama Mama cheesing it....

Just so we could do christmas together, (with Josh, tee and their kids) we had an "early" christmas on christmas eve, and passed out gifts, and watched faces of those you work so hard to get things for. My favorite of the night...a year subscription to "People"...THANKS TEE AND JOSH!!!!

Present time~!

What did you get?

Just for Tee...

She was really into it this year!...her favorite of the night...a webkins kitty cat.

Bug REALLY loved it this year!....his fav of the night a webkins chihuahua...

After gifts we did our annual "pickle hunt" with the kids...
This video is great....the kids rock! They are so cute!
Drama Mama kinda played! LOL...

Guess who found it?....

After everyone left and the house was still....guess who came buy and dropped off presents for Jesus's birthday????

Love to all!

2009 WILL be divine~

Want to know how I know?

Because I was blessed enough to spend the 1st day of the new year with my family and even an old friend!!!

We went to Josh's house for a Taco dinner last night, and had Tom and his sweet (although VERY competitive *wink wink*) wife join us. What a blast!

It was SO much fun talking about the old days, and catching up on the new.

It really is a cool experience when you get to spend time with someone that you knew as a kid....and still have the same connection that you had 15 years ago!

Of course, now it's even better because you have your own family to share with them, and you get to see where their life has taken them, and meet their signifigant others!

So far I have been fortunate enough to see Nancy, Autumn, and Tom!

A reunion is in the works for sure! :)

I will have pictures to post on Sun....when I get back to N.C.....

the good news: Brad may have a job (it's about 99%)...starting this week....and although it means being seperate for a while...we are SOOO grateful.

the better news: It means we can make our LONG OVERDUE trip to PA to see Nana,(yay!!!) and celebrate a belated birthday and christmas with her.

Please continue to lift us up in your prayers and thoughts though....and God bless ya'all............ give your families my love!~
