HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY Bug!~

Can you believe it?? He is 8!!!

Ahhhhhh! :)

Such a great little boy too!! We had a quiet birthday at home this year...(well, until saturday...when we hit FUNLAND with Nana, Pappy, Uncle Bryan and of course Matthew)...we ordered his FAVORITE...Dominoes....and then went to Dairy Queen for ice cream. He could order whatever he wanted offf the menu....he got an oreo blizzard! :)

Anyway, the thing at Funland will be a small affair...compared to the all out partyt we had last year!! But he is content with that! As long as his cousin and family are here, he is happy!

But the fun for us (the adults) doesnt start until AFTER that!~ We are going to Kings Dominion for fright fest on Saturday night!! I am sooooo excited as it has been, well, let's just say a LONG time since I have gone! :) I am SOOOOOOOO excited! :) Gonna get my ride on~ :) (as Sam would say!)

Where are the years going?? I just LOVE this age with her....

Seriously...I feel like I have been the LUCKIEST mom around...to have the kids that God gave me.

I must have done SOMETHING right! :)

Anyway...for her birthday we headed to Chuck E. Cheese.....again.

She LOVES this place. It was a small affair with only one of her friends this year.

Nana and Pappy came down and joined us as well. So it was them, us and the Jacksons.

Wow....hard to believe it's been 3 years already!!!

I started this blog when I was pregnant with her (in 2005) and now I have all these wonderful memories to look back on!! :P

Anywhoo....

We headed up to VA for an early birthday party at Chuck E Cheese's...and a nice visit with the cousins and family! :)

Popo and Papa were there to join us and it made the day even more special!! We were also blessed enough that Nana and Tony drove all the way from PA to be there as well! ( a HUGE thank you to them!!! It was awesome to spend that time with them)

We headed up there on friday and left tues afternoon (on her real bday!)

Bug's 6th Bday Party

What a day, what a day, what a day!!!!!!!!

The "Protect the Planet" annual picnic's I planned in Hawaii were easier than planning THIS! :P

But it really WAS a GREAT day!!!!

We, of course, missed Nana, and Popo and Papa's presence....but they were thought of the entire time!

And the presents they sent were WAYyyyyyyyyyyy to much! He LOVED the D.S. ( I had no control over the camera that day as I was in the middle of the party...so we missed getting him opening it on video....I am SOOOOO sorry Popo and Papa)....

Thank you to ALL of you for making his day SO special!

Cake Fiasco!!

I can NOT believe how hard it is/was to try and find someone/somewhere to do a Super Mario Cake! I had no idea that it was so involved as far as copyrights go and such!

Well, Pooh to them!

A friend of mine (THANK YOU JOY!!!!) from church (she is also the one that has a daughter "Angelina Ballerina" that I watch during the week) is a CRAZY TALENTED cake person and I had totally forgotten about checking with.!

Well when she came to pick up Angelina the other day she asked about Bug's party this Sat. And I poured out my frustration with not being able to have a cake to match the theme (not that its the end of the world or anything...but come on!) so.....




She offered to make his this fabulous ICE CREAM Mario Cake!!!!!!!
From SCRATCH!!
She uses a "Wilton's" frosting and Sam got to pick out the cake mix (o.k so its not COMPLETELY from scratch)....and guess what the goober chooses....check out THIS combo!

You KNOW I will have pictures of that! I can't wait to see it myself. :)

So a word to the wise out there.....if your child is a little "out of the norm" with the theme they choose for their party...my advice is start looking for a cake at least 2 weeks in advance...and GOOD LUCK! :)
